The Jazz have some depth at every position except center. Rudy Gobert has emerged as a starting center but he doesn’t have a backup. Trey Burke may not be the answer at point guard but Dante Exum could fill that position. Alec Burks will return from his shoulder injury and Rodney Hood can backup Gordon Hayward.
12) Utah Jazz – Myles Turner (C – Texas)
The Jazz can go with a point guard but a backup center is more important. The Jazz would lose rim protection if Rudy Gobert got in foul trouble. Myles Turner measured well at the combined. He has a 7’4 wingspan, a standing reach of 9’4” and he’s been working on his movement.
If Gobert goes to the bench the Jazz won’t lose their rim protection. Turner has a nice touch in the post and good range on his jumper. The Jazz were in the bottom half of the league in scoring and they can use Turner’s scoring off the bench.
Turner is a work in progress. He can work his way into the rotation and he will help the second unit.
