The NBA All-Star game takes place in New York City this season. Events will be held in both Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Madison Square Garden in New York.
Adidas has finally revealed the uniforms and they look good. David Cho, who oversees the NBA partnership with Adidas said, “It’s simple and timeless…it’s a nod to the history, culture and style of New York City basketball.”
The jerseys will not have “East” or “West” on them. The East will wear white and the West wears black. Any accessories will be Blue for the East and Red for the West.
The back of the uniform will have the players first name above the number and their last name below the number.
Each jersey will have a star filled with icons that represent the five boroughs of New York City: Unisphere (Queens), Waves (Staten Island), Checkered Taxi Pattern (Manhattan), Vinyl Record (Bronx) and Brownstone Bricks (Brooklyn).
The warmup jacket will have patches showing the years played in the All-Star games and other notable awards and titles. A shooting shirt will have block lettering to the font used on shirts in the 1950s and 60s.
I like the plain and simple look of these jerseys. It’s something different and not flashy. Last year’s jerseys were very bad.
What do you think of the All-Star uniforms?
